Colac Division Soccer Championships
Good luck to the following children who will be representing Sacred Heart in the Colac Division Soccer Championships held at Sacred Heart this Friday 19th May - Dash Bannan. Zaiden Finn, Finley Geary, Max Mitchell, Roy Scott, Louis Medley, Deegan Scott, Kade Genua, Leon Whitehouse, Fletcher Tomkins, Riley Sheppard, Charlie Kidman, Oliver Edmonds, Mickey Mathoat, Henry Stinchcombe, Brae Cameron, Kyuss Cameron, Jack Seuren, Joseph Coventry, Hudson Oborne, Lucas Roger, Bodhi Baker and Cooper O’Gorman.
We do need parents to assist with coaching and umpiring the two soccer teams on the day, please let me know through the PAM permission if you can help out.
A reminder to helpers, you must hold a current ‘Working With Children Check’ and the school office has sighted and entered your details.
The soccer games will start at 11:00am and finish at approximately 2:15pm.
Soccer players will need to wear their sports uniform (tops will be supplied), long socks, drink bottle, fruit, snacks and lunch. Students can still have a lunch order.
Parents/Grandparents etc are welcome to come and watch the soccer games. A draw will be sent home with the soccer players.

Colac Division Cross Country
We wish the students who are competing in the Colac Division Cross Country all the best. This will take place on Monday 22nd May at the Colac Golf Club. The first race will commence at 11:30am. Students will travel by bus to this event. Students will need to wear their sports uniform, bring along their drink bottle, fruit, snacks etc. Please watch the weather forecast, and pack extra clothes, towel etc if needed.
We do need parents/guardians to help out with time-keeping etc on the day, so please indicate on Pam if you can help.

State Tennis Championships
Good luck to Jemma Howat who is competing in the SSV State Tennis Championships on Monday 21st May. Jemma will be travelling to Melbourne to play at Dendy Park Tennis Club. We wish Jemma all the best.
State Football Trials
Good luck to Jess McCarthy who is trialling for the Team Vic Under 12 AFL Team. Jesse will be travelling to Ballarat on Tuesday 23rd May to compete in these trials. Go Jesse!

Name: Evie McDonald (Yr 6TR)
1. Which sport is your favourite to play and why? Netball is my favourite sport because I make a lot of friends in the team and it is a fun game to play.
2. What is your best sporting moment? My best sporting moment was playing in the semi-final and the grand-final in my Year 4 netball team called Shrimps.
3. Which strengths do you believe you have that make you a good athlete? I display good sportsmanship, so that makes me a good athlete.
4. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it is fun and I like to be competitive at times.
5. Who is your favourite sports person? Some of my friends are my favourite sports people. Why are they your favourite? They are my favourites because they help make sport fun.
6. What is your favourite sporting team? My favourite sporting teams are the teams that are underrated.

1. Which sport is your favourite to play and why? My favourite sport is baseball because I like to play the game with my family.
2. What is your best sporting moment? My best sporting moment was beating my family in baseball.
3. Which strengths do you believe you have that make you a good athlete? The main skill I have that makes me a good athlete is my speed,
I can run very fast.
4. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it helps me to get fit.
5. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is Cristiano Ronaldo. Why are they your favourite? He is my favourite player because he is a very good soccer player.

Name: Fletcher Tomkins (Yr 6TR)
1. Which sport is your favourite to play and why? Football is my favourite sport because it is fun to play and it makes me happy. It is a team sport that makes me feel like I belong.
2. What is your best sporting moment? My best sporting moments was when I was playing Friday night football and out of nowhere I snapped a goal from 25 metres out.
3. Which strengths do you believe you have that make you a good athlete? The strengths I have that make me a good athlete is my speed, also I am a very good team player and I am very sneaky.
4. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it is good to exercise and it is fun.
5. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is Marcus Bontempelli (Western Bulldogs footballer). Why are they your favourite? He is my favourite player because he is inspirational and I play football a bit like him.
6. What is your favourite sporting team? My favourite football team is the Western Bulldogs.
