RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Next week is Catholic Education Week. On Friday 26th June we will be attending Mass at St Mary's Church 10:00 am. Together with Sacred Heart, St Mary’s and St Brendan’s, we celebrate Catholic Education Week. This year’s theme is “May the Words you Speak always be full of Grace” (Col 4:6). After Mass the three schools will remain at St Mary's School for a morning tea and a brief play.

Last week we began receiving donations from our families to help support those in need. Leading up to Friday 16th June, our Year 6 students will be visiting classrooms across the school and speaking with the students and teachers about how we can help others and the important role St Vinnies has in our community.

These are what the grades are asked to donate:

Foundation: Baby clothes, socks, dressing gowns, pyjamas for any age male/female.

Year One: Toiletries: hair brushes, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, bandaids, tissues, can openers and also tin soup.

Year Two: Pillow cases, pillows, heat packs, tins of spaghetti or baked beans.

Year Three: Scarfs, gloves, beanies, slippers, packet of biscuits.

Year Four: Cutlery -such as spoons, plastic bowls, breakfast cereals.

Year Five: Soft toys (if in  good condition), colouring books, textas, pencil cases.

Please note:  if it is not possible to donate from the suggested items on your child's Grade list, any items/or money  from the above list would be greatly appreciated.  The items you bring can be dropped off to the office or into your child’s classroom anytime.

Donations will be delivered to St Vinnies Colac On Friday 16th June following the FEAST of the SACRED HEART Mass, held  in the Multipurpose Room at 10:00 am here at Sacred Heart.
