Which cast is my child in?
Many families have been inquiring about which cast their child is in for the upcoming production.
The general rule of thumb we have followed to divide the school is:
CAST 1 – for families with surnames beginning with a letter in the alphabet between A and L
CAST 2 – for families with surnames beginning with a letter in the alphabet between M and Z.
However, there are some instances where families have requested specific performance nights (due to family holidays, or when siblings having different surnames). I have also been able to be more flexible with some children who do not have siblings attending Great Ryrie Primary School.
Included below, is a main cast list – which outlines which cast our lead roles have been allocated to.
For all other students, if you are unsure, please contact the classroom teacher. I have provided lists to the classroom teachers to clarify CAST 1 and CAST 2.

All students will be performing twice.
CAST 1 – Wednesday 9th August and Thursday 10th August.
CAST 2 – Wednesday 16th August and Thursday 17th August.
Parents do not need to attend two performances. On the evening that you are not in attendance, the children will be cared for by the classroom teacher and you will be able to pick them up at interval or at the end of the performance. More specific times and instructions will be made available closer to the performances.
Production tickets will go on sale at the beginning of term 3. More information will be available closer to the date.
Rehearsals:
Children in Foundation to Year 4, are rehearsing during their weekly Performing Arts lessons.
Year 5 and 6 students who do not have a main role, are also rehearsing during their weekly Performing Arts lessons.
Main cast members are attending various rehearsals, at lunchtimes, or occasionally after school.
