Principal's Report

We are well and truly on the move at St Joseph’s and planning for the future doesn’t stop!

After a lengthy tender process, the College is pleased to announce that the Stage 2 construction contract for our Kildare Campus has been granted to Fairbrother. Our Stage 2 building works will commence at our Kildare campus on May 23. We look forward to working closely with Fairbrother and continuing our relationship with our Architects Clake Hopkins Clarke. At this stage, we are still on track for our Year 7 students to move to our Kildare Campus on May 29.

Last Friday we celebrated Mother’s day with our Year 7 students and it was a wonderful morning for the wonderful women in our student’s lives. The College is currently working on introducing more of these opportunities for our students and families to be better engaged with our school community.

As always our students are well represented in sporting competitions, they present well, they compete with determination and grace and they are excellent ambassadors for our College. We also commend and acknowledge the work and commitment of their coaches and our Co-Curriculum Coordinator, Ms Shari Gotch who oversees the planning and preparation of all of our sporting programs.

In the coming weeks our Year 10 and 11 students will undergo examinations and other year levels will be completing many assessments. I encourage families to be talking about assessments and study habits at home with your children. Teachers will certainly be having those conversations and having the support of families in their children’s learning is important and an effective way of improving learning and outcomes for our students.
