St Joseph’s Library Duplication!

Well, it’s been years in the planning and FINALLY it’s only weeks from happening… the new KILDARE CAMPUS is set to open before the end of the month. The St Joseph’s Library team have been busy ordering, cataloguing and boxing up new books so that the library at the new campus is full to the brim with literary awesomeness! We are so excited for our Year 7s to make the most of the incredible new space over there. It’s going to be a lot of hard work… but the outcome will be spectacular! 

Please be patient with Library staff over the course of the next couple of weeks as they will be taking on a lot of extra duties getting everything prepared for the new opening. Students are welcome to lend a helping hand if they see our busy team needing assistance during this time.

Class Space Recess and Lunchtime Gaming Centre

Here in the library, we are always keen to indulge the interests of our students by allowing special clubs and events. We have noticed recently that there is a student-run online gaming club happening at recess and lunch times in the Library Class Space. We welcome students to take part in this program as we are enjoying seeing this club increase in size as more and more students are included in the break time activities.

New HORROR Collections

It was recently brought to the attention of the Library team that we have a shortage of horror books in our collection and as we aim to please our students and embrace their personal interest genres, we have gone ahead and purchased a heap of new books for our horror collection- with a specific focus on novels written by the KING of HORROR himself - Stephen King! 

With the help of Byron C (Year 8), the library showcased a fantastic display of our new Stephen King novels and they have already proven to be a hit with our students!
