Acting Principal's Report

ActingPrincipal's Message
It certainly been a another busy week at St Finbar's. We would like to thank the community for their support whilst Pat has been away at the Principal Conference in Darwin! We can confirm that Pat has been enjoying the experiences that the Conference has on offer, including a trip to Kakadu. We look forward to Pat updating the community on his trip when he returns to school Friday next week.
Year 4 Sacrament of Eucharist
Our Year 4 students had a memorable experience this week as they participated in the Sacrament of First Eucharist on Tuesday night. It was a beautiful ceremony filled with reverence, reflection, and the sharing of sacrament. We are proud of our students for their respectful participation and their growing understanding of their Faith.
Protective Behaviours
This week Cath McCallig began the Protective Behaviours lessons in Years 5 & 6. Students learned essential skills to recognise and respond to potentially dangerous situations. The focus of this week's session was on recognising some of the early warning signs that children may experience if a situation doesn't feel right. The remainder of the school will complete these sessions with Cath next week.
National Simultaneous Storytime
On Wednesday, we joined schools across the country in celebrating National Simultaneous Storytime. The entire school came together at the same time to read "The Speedy Sloth". This engaging and inclusive event promotes the joy of reading and encourages a love for literature among our students.
