VCE Music Night

On Tuesday 30th May our VCE Unit 1 Music and Unit 3 Contemporary Performance student performed in our first VCE Music Night for the year. In these assessments each student presented a selection of pieces they are preparing for their end of year performances. It was great to see the talent on show and we look forward to seeing their progress throughout the year.

Debut Concert

On Monday 5th June we have our newest members of the band program presenting their Debut Concert. 

This free concert will take place in the Theatrette from 4pm and gives the students a chance to show off what they’ve been able to achieve in such a short period of time.

Solos & Chamber Concert

The following night, Tuesday 6th June, we have our first Solos & Chamber Concert for the year. 

These were very popular concerts last year and we had so many students wanting to perform that it ran two rooms, the Theatrette and Band room. 

This will feature students performing Solos and small ensemble pieces of music, it’s also free and starts at 6pm.

Cushion Concert

In the last week of term our String and Vocal ensembles will be performing at Eastbank in their June Cushion Concert. It starts at 10.30am and is a 30 minute concert which is suitable for younger children.

Instrumental Music Program

Our Training Band has started for the year, however, we still have vacancies on a number of instruments, particularly brass and woodwind. We’ve had a number of students turn up to try out instruments at recess on Tuesday and Thursday, which we will continue running for the rest of the term. If you are still interested in learning an instrument but have signed up yet, come and see Liesl on level 1 of the Enterprise building to sign up.
