Werribee Zoo Excursion

Last Friday, we all went to Werribee Zoo as part of our Inquiry unit, 'Animalistic Ethics'. Our main focus was to explore the purpose of a zoo, animal conservation and the ethics of how all animals there were being treated.

We followed with reflections on their thoughts and opinions on having a zoo and how the animals were being treated and looked after. Students used critical thinking to unpack what they believed to be fair and unfair. Students will continue to investigate the ethics of animal care and conservation throughout this term.

Our end product for this unit will be to create an 'Ethical Animal Park'. Just a friendly reminder to our message last week, please bring in as many cardboard boxes, plastic bottles and overall recyclyed materials and goods! A massive thank you, to all those parents who have brought things in already, our pile is starting to grow! :)
