For those who just want a quick snapshot of what's happening at Newlands, below is a dot-point summary of the "not to be missed" bits. For a more comprehensive rundown, please read a thorough rundown in the following pages of this newsletter:

 

  • Spanish Dinner and Drinks is happening on Thursday 1st June. CLICK ON ME TO TAKE ME TO THE EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FORM 
  • RATs are available in the office for COVID testing
  • OSHC is extending it's opening times from 7am, previously 7.30am
  • Open Learning is happening on Friday 2nd June, 2.30pm - 3.30pm.
  • Our OSHC program is seeking interest in a NPS School Holiday Program through a survey:  HOLIDAY PROGRAM SURVEY LINK
  • The school Working Bee is happening Sunday 28th May, 9am - 12pm.
  • Sorry Day was acknowledged in lessons throughout the school
  • The school's Reconciliation Action Plan community input and review will be held on Wednesday 7th June at 2.30pm. The RAP will be shared with our community during NAIDOC week, Term 3 Week 1. 
  • Staff have engaged with professional learning on Positive Behaviour Support
  • Raquel (Behaviour Therapist) will be available to meet with families each Friday between 9 -1.
  • Sonya and Raquel continue to provide support to students, teachers and families.  
  • Moira will be on leave from next Tuesday until the end of the term.
  • Jacqui will be on leave until further notice.
