School Philosophy

Orchard Grove Primary School is committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment that engages curiosity, promotes learning, personal growth and wellbeing for all students. We strive to develop adaptability and resilience so students can become valued members of the local and global communities and be prepared for future life experiences.

From the Assistant Principal

I would like to start by thanking all the families in our community who have made the past few weeks run smoothly. We didn’t know what to expect with school returning and, after one or two small obstacles, it seems to have been an easy transition for all involved.

Drop-offs and pick-ups have been working well thanks to people adhering to the set guidelines. It has also been great to see how the younger children have found a bit of independence in getting themselves to and from the gates. 

A big thank you to all the families who have donated sanitiser, tissues and cleaning products. The staff have also received lots of delicious treats since school started and, although this is totally unnecessary, they feel very appreciated and valued.

Three-way Conferences

Our three-way conferences are being held on Friday 26th June. This will be via Google Meet at your booked time. Teachers will send a meeting code through to your child's Google Mail address, so please keep an eye out for this. Please note there will only be a modified program run here at school. If you need to attend, please contact TeamKids directly on 1300 035 000 or via their website, teamkids.com.au.

Last Day of Term Two

Thursday 25th June will be the last day this term that students need to attend school. School will finish at 3:00pm or 3:30pm, as per your designated pick-up times. 

Term Three

As yet, we are unsure as to what changes will be made to operational matters for the beginning of Term Three. Given the current conditions, I suspect that these will not be finalised until a few days out from our return. We will share any changes with you via Compass.
