From our Educational Leader

Hello to all our lovely families. I would like to introduce you to our first term reflection for the year. This will be an going journey as our intention is to keep our families informed with our centres journey.

What a term it has been, can you believe that it has already been 9 weeks.  Our lovely educators have been continuously delivering a fun filled and educational curriculum to support the needs of all the children within the service and those who are currently away.

Our room programs are designed to support and be inclusive of all children and their individual needs, skills and capabilities. Children’s voices are of essence to our educators as they continue to implement a high quality of teaching and learning through a holistic approach and every opportunity is taken to extend and engage through experiences may it be  intentional or spontaneous.

Due to current circumstances and health concerns surrounding  COVID - 19, we were not able to continue with our sports program which the children really enjoyed and looked forward to. However our talented and skilled educators were quick to jump on board and implement their own program so that the children would not miss out. We also introduced Bonkers Beat into the program, which has been a positive element to daily teaching practices. This experience is delivered through daily group times but does not limit the educators to implement throughout the day if they choose to.

Although this has been a challenging time for us all our educators have pulled together and kept a positive approach to have as much normality in everyday teaching practice, this being inclusive of our special events such as St Patricks Day, Easter, Anzac and the children’s very own rainbow messages of hope during this pandemic. These beautiful art pieces are on the centres entrance fence as you enter and what a wonderful way for the  children to express their love and joy with the educators guidance and support.

As we embark on term two our educators will continue to provide teaching experiences to support all children within the service and those who are currently away may it be via resource packs containing literacy and numeracy work or live sessions of group times.

If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to ask one of our educators as they are more than happy to accommodate.  We are all in this together and will come out stronger.

Best Wishes,
