Student of the Week
Student of the Week
As a school we have been extremely impressed with the high quality of Learning Tasks which have been undertaken at home!
If you are wondering what the teachers can see when you submit your learning, check out the images below.
Student of the Week...it's a bit different!
This week we are highlighting the learning of our students, and checking out what they have been doing whilst learning from home.
The students below have submitted their photos and clips via the "Star in the Newsletter" section of Google Classrooms. This section will remain open for the rest of Term Two, so you can still make a submission if there is something you would like to share.
Georgia- Class 1A: Georgia has been extremely busy over the last fortnight, making dumplings as a Japanese learning task, cooking pasta for her family, sketching "The Cat in the Hat" and sculpting her own elephant! Great work Georgia!!
Justyna- Class 2A: Justyna has taken scientific discovery to a new level! With the help of a trusty lab assistant, Justyna will teach you a thing or two about chemical change. Great work super scientist!
Anna C- Class 34A: Anna has used her creative writing style to write a beautiful poem utilising the language feature of 'onomatopoeia'. That's a huge word, and if you want to know what it means you can ask Anna- as she has a great understanding of how to use language features to add humour to her writing!
Lucy C- Class 34A: Lucy has provided us with an artistic representation of Dr Seuss' Truffalo Trees. If you have seen "The Lorax" then you would know exactly how important it is to look after trees, no matter what type! Great job Lucy!
Levi- Class 34B: Reading Levi's poem makes us thirsty! He has used the five senses and 'onomatopoeia' to describe the sensation of drinking a lemonade. Well done Levi!
Lainey- Class 34B: if you want to learn about frogs then you need to read Lainey's Information Report. It is full of amazing 'frog facts' and has us jumping and hopping about with excitement. Well done Lainey!
Matilda M- Class 34B: Matilda has been busy running her own school at home. From all reports her students are outstanding, and have loved their geography lessons! Well done Miss M- you are hired!!!
Ellouise- Class 34C: Wow, wow, wow and even more wows!!! Ellouise has gone a step above in the world of poetry. Check out the amazing presentation from this master of language. Look carefully and the shape of this poem will make you hungry!
Lily G- Class 34C: Lily makes us feel like we are watching a scene from 'The Lego Movie'. Her sculpture of the Cape Bruny Lighthouse is amazing and in perfect scale to the size of her lego character. Hopefully now that restrictions are lifted we can visit this landmark in person. Great job Lily!
Zane- Class 56A: Zane has put together a brilliant book of poetry. This is so great that we think it should be published and available in all good bookstores! You are a wordsmith young sir!
Tyler G- Class 56C: Tyler and his trusty cat have undertaken a volume and capacity experiment within their own kitchen. Tyler, we love your work and think that with those measuring skills you are ready to apply for Masterchef!
Over the past few weeks we have seen some amazing videos, clips, and photos of students learning from home.
We want to share your amazingness (is that even a word?) in our upcoming newsletters!!!
