An Overview of our Learning
Konnichiwa everyone!
I am very excited to have the first face-to-face lessons with the junior grades in week 8 and all the rest of the grades in week 9 onwards. Our students will be welcomed by the fresh-looking Japanese room! To immerse our students to more authentic traditional Japanese culture, we also got a set of floor cushions called ‘ZABUTON’! Some Japanese people still sit in this traditional and space-efficient way. So our students will be sitting on those and enjoy learning Japanese from this week.
In the next few weeks, Foundation students will be learning a new song to learn body parts and consolidate numbers, meal greetings and animals through fun activities.
Grade 1&2 students will continue to work on the ‘Juice Bar’ unit to be able to understand a Japanese story including fruits, healthy/unhealthy, and tastes.
Grade 3 & 4 students will be practising to address their daily routine including time and activity entirely in Japanese.
Grade 5 & 6 students are going to revise shop names and read shop manga in Japanese.
During the remote learning, I have received so many fantastic photos and videos that shows the students’ learning and progress in Japanese. I cannot thank you enough for your kind support for the Japanese program.
Arigatou gozaimasu (Thank you very much)!
