The Great Trinity Iso Race

We have a winner!

After four weeks of fierce and brutal competition, the 'Trinity Isolation Race' has come to a conclusion, with a breakaway winner in the student race, while it was much closer in the staff race. This initiative was set up by the PE staff during our isolation period, as an incentive to keep our students active and healthy, during the period of time where our physical and mental health were at risk of declining. Mr Paddick and Mr Tomkins spurred on staff and students to keep themselves active, and what better way to do that than by introducing a competition to determine who truly was keeping the most active during isolation.

Immediately divides began to appear, as sports class turned on sports class in a grapple for the top position. Mrs Hawker was not settling for second best, leading her Year 10 PE class to victory with 869 points!

While many of the students found this a fun way to stay active during isolation, on the staff side it was much more cut-throat. The battle for the top was extremely tight for majority of the race, with many staff members recording extraordinary efforts. Teams were cobbled together to add some friendly rivalry.

Mr Robertson
Mr Robertson

On the individual front it was Mr Robertson, the Year 9 Coordinator, who clinched victory in the staff race with 599 points, followed by Mr Barren from Wellbeing on 412 and Ms Andres on 329. Mrs Hawker and Miss Van den Eynde also broke through the 300 point barrier. Well done to all the staff who supported the event, your support is greatly appreciated!

In the teams event it was a three-way race between the teaching staff, the non-teaching staff and the sports crew. Mr Robertson led the teaching staff to a convincing win on the back of regular 10 to 15 kilometre runs.
