CHEF'S DINNER

This year's Chefs Dinner will be held on Thursday 30 May. The year 12 VET Hospitality class have met with the Head Chef from the Plough Hotel, Scott Thomas to discuss our menu. In preparation for the meeting, the students discussed the produce available in late autumn and early winter. They researched what they would like to make and how it would cover their assessments in their pursuit of a Certificate II in Hospitality (Kitchen Operations).

I am very excited to announce this year's dinner will take on an Asian theme. Although the menu is still being developed by both The Plough and the Hospitality students there are some amazing flavours and ideas promising to be nothing less than delicious. The Horticulture class is growing some produce especially for the event, musicians will entertain during pre drinks and several faculties have offered to make lanterns to decorate the Futures Centre to create a night market feel.

Waiting positions for all year levels will be advertised at the beginning of term 2. This is a great opportunity to gain skills and experience to reference when applying for a job in the future.  Tickets will be available to purchase online from the 1st of April with the Early Bird tickets at $65.00 on sale till the 10th of May. Regular tickets will be on sale until the 29th at $80.00 per ticket. This is a school community event and all staff, students, parents and friends are welcome to attend.
