Faith at St Joseph's...

The Scripture from the Bible is Psalm 100:3: We are God’s people, we belong to him

Know that the Lord is God.

It is he that made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Mary MacKillop Feast Day

Feast Day of Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop

Mary MacKillop Feast Day is held every August 8th, in honour of the revered Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop.

She was the first Saint of Australia, and her influence in the country has spread far and wide. She is recognised for her commitment to the poor, helping those who needed it the most in any way she could.

This is a particularly important celebration for our schools that are named for her and inspired by her in their daily life. Her now familiar words, ‘Never see a need without doing something about it’, are a challenge to all of us to think more consciously about our response to those in need. St. Joseph’s has a very strong connection with Mary Mackillop.

Our Mass this week will focus on Mary Mackillop.

Mass will be held in the Hall starting at 2:00pm on Friday 5th of August.  We welcome our school community to come along and celebrate together.
