The Real Inspector Hound

Last week the Year Ten Drama students performed an abridged version of The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard. An enthusiastic audience of friends and family braved the weather to attend the play at 6.00pm on Wednesday evening. The dedication, effort and energy that the cast and crew of students brought to the project was phenomenal and resulted in an outstanding performance. Unfortunately, last minute, two original members of the cast were not able to make the final performance, but this was quickly overcome due to the generous offers from River Waters and Angela Lanyon-Cook who both stepped in last minute to allow the show to continue. The witty and light-hearted Whodunnit included many twists and turns, leaving the audience wanting more as the story ended on a cliffhanger.

I would like to say thank you to all the Year Ten Drama students who worked so hard on this play and congratulations on such an impressive performance. My thanks also to the audience who came to support the students at this event.

We are busy preparing for the Whole School Arts Exhibition, ‘Red Moort’, opening Sunday, 11 September at 3.00pm at the Annette Knight Centre. Students throughout the School are creating artworks inspired by our local flora and fauna.

As a very special addition to the exhibition this year, we are delighted that Fervor will be offering a culinary feast under the Great Southern stars. Renowned chef, Paul Iskov, will prepare a seven course degustation dinner of local produce with a complimentary glass of wine to begin with.

Please peruse Fervor’s website at https://www.fervor.com.au for insight into the experience.

The dinner will commence at 5.30pm on Sunday 11 September. The alfresco location will be revealed prior to the event. It is advised to dress warmly.
