Celebrating Book Week (20th - 26th August)

Author visit

This year at Karoo we are very excited to be celebrating Book Week with a VERY special author visit from Michael Wagner on Tuesday 23rd August. 

Michael visits lots of schools, libraries and festivals every year and has written over 80 children’s books, including the funny sporting adventures of Maxx Rumble and The Undys. 

He has previously worked as a radio broadcaster with the ABC, a television producer, comedy and song writer.  Michael performs hilarious, lively stories that are drawn from his books and his life and uses funny images, video clips and lots of humour to explain where ideas come from, why ideas matter, his  creative process, how to use journals, and much more.

 Please click on the attachment below for details on how you can access the online portal to order books prior to Michael’s visit so that students can have them signed on the day.

Book Parade

Attention all Superheros, Wizards and Witches, Pirates and Princesses!

We are excited to announce the date for our Book Week Parade on Wednesday 24th August from 9:10am!  Come dressed as your favourite book character ... we need colour, sparkles, wands, cloaks and capes to dazzle and delight!

Gold coin donation to support 'The Library Boost Project', an initiative run by Dymocks where moneys raised goes towards purchasing books for our library whilst supporting the most disadvanted schools across Australia.
