F-4 Community News

Who can believe we are already three weeks into Term 3 and what a busy start it has been? Thus far, the F-4 students have participated in two AFL clinics, have been rehearsing their songs for Seussical KIDS and have completed some amazing learning.

Each week we are inching closer to the opening of the new Years 1 and 2 learning area. The teachers, LSOs and admin staff are working closely to make this transition as smooth as possible with little disruption to the students' learning. We can’t wait to invite families to see the new space in due time.

Over the next fortnight, there will be many events for students to participate in. The Years 3/4 students will be travelling to Melbourne next Wednesday to participate in the ‘Train Like a Vixen’ netball excursion. Please ensure that you have responded to the Operoo.

On Friday 12th August, students will be travelling to Cooma to participate in the F-6 Athletic Sports. This is always a great day of fun and laughter. Students should come dressed in their house colours ready to support their houses. We can’t wait to spend time together as a community.

Years 1 and 2

The Years 1/2 students had a busy start to Term 3, being involved in an AFL sports clinic held at the Kyabram Recreation Reserve. This clinic ran over two weeks with lots of fun had! Students attended as small class groups, meaning they were able to work intensively on different skills and play games. Students were awarded footy cards for showing great teamwork, skill, determination and correctly answering questions about the AFL and AFLW.

In other news, we have begun practising for our Term 3 Concert 'Seussical KIDS'. The students have loved learning the news songs and adding the actions.

It is also a very exciting time as we prepare to move into our new learning space in the coming weeks.  Thank you to all the staff members who have been involved in the planning of our new building and getting it organised for us.
