Year Four Camp
Myself and our four Year 4 students are away on Camp at Camp Kookaburra (in Corop) this week. We can't wait to share our adventures with you all when we return to civilisation!
Father's Day Stall
On Friday September 2nd we are hosting a Father's Day Stall. There will be a range of gifts available for students to purchase for the special guy in their life. Students can bring along $5 to spend and if they have two dads to buy for ( double the fun) they may bring along
2 x $5 to spend. Student will also be bringing home the handmade gift that they lovingly built and decorated.
We hope that all of the dads, step-dads, grandpas and any other special guys in our student's lives have a great day on Sunday September 4th.
Pupil Free Day
A reminder that Monday September 12th is a Pupil Free Day.
Staff will be in attendance and use this day for and audit of our ICT files and for Term 4 Curriculum planning as well as a look into what exciting programs we will be offering in 2023!
Cluster Athletics
Last week our Year 4, 5 7 6 students braved the extremely wet and wintery conditions to compete in the Campaspe Cluster Athletics. We competed against students from Goornong, Elmore Primary, OLSH (Elmore), Nanneella and Colbinabbin.
Our students did very well across the board with many of them earning place-getter ribbons.
I believe we were the only school with 100% turn out of our students, showing that we really do live by our school value of Resilience!
Rapid Antigen Tests and Facemasks
The Victorian Government is providing further deliveries of rapid antigen tests in Term 3 and again in Term 4 to schools.
It is recommended that rapid antigen tests are used by students and staff when symptomatic. Household contacts are required to test negative using a rapid antigen test on at least 5 out of 7 days if they are attending or working at a school onsite.
It is strongly recommended by the Department of Health that face masks are worn in indoor settings, with face masks mandatory for those aged 8 and over who are household contacts and attending school. This is because the wearing of masks is effective in reducing the transmission of COVID-19.
It is the Department’s preference that, through to the end of winter, students aged 8 and over and all staff will wear masks when in class, noting that exceptions to the recommendation apply to teaching circumstances when clear communication or when a particular activity requires the removal of a mask.
Masks are not required to be worn outdoors.
Parent/Guardian Opinion Survey
These surveys have been sent home with the eldest child in each family. We ask that one or both parents/guardians please take 10 or so minutes to fill a single survey in. The responses are anonymous and our school will forward the unopened envelopes to the Department of Education who will process the answers and provide us with an overall percentage responses to each question. This information not only helps us improve but also to ascertain how our programs, student welfare approaches and overall satisfaction looks in comparison to the state.
Once your child/ren return a completed survey we will exchange it with a "thank you" block of chocolate for the family to share.
Thank you to those families who have already returned their surveys.
