Rotary Thank you Dinner

Following on from our successful weekend at Parliament House for MUNA, the model United Nations Conference, Samantha Cattermole and Dessy Turk, attended a Rotary function last week at the Woodlands Golf Club. Sam and Dessy presented a slideshow showing Rotarians from Mordialloc, a little of what went on at MUNA. We are very grateful to the Mordialloc Rotary Club for their sponsorship of our students making it possible for them to be involved.

VASGSC Year 8 Friendship Day – 14 June

We are fortunate to be hosting the annual VASGSC (Victorian Association of State Girls’ Secondary Colleges) Year 8 Friendship Day next Thursday. Students from each of the other State Girls Colleges will be joining a group of our Year 8 student leaders for a day of activities, leadership development, problem solving and fun. Later in the year, we will have MGSC students attending a similar conference to be held at The Mac.Roberston’s Girls’ High School. 

Fundraising 

The money raised from the BBQ at Swimming Sports Carnival earlier this year by MGSC, contributed to the purchase of two microwaves for the VCE Centre. Due to the colder weather I’m sure the VCE students are very appreciative of the microwaves.

There is a casual clothes day on Friday 22 June. The SRC will be collecting a gold coin donation for Brain Cancer awareness and the theme is ‘Go Grey’. Please start putting money aside for this day.
