APPOINTMENT OF NEW DEPUTY PRINCIPAL

I am happy to announce that Ivan Seskis has been appointed as our new Deputy Principal (Teaching and Learning), from the beginning of 2023. Ivan is well known to our BHCS community, having been a staff member here for the past 13 years and most recently in the role of Head of Senior School. 

Ivan has a genuine love for teaching and learning and presented a vision for BHCS in his interview to continue to encourage teachers in their teaching practices so that they effectively engage with, educate, and inspire students academically and spiritually.

It was pleasing to have a number of high quality applicants apply for the role, making the decision a tough one for the panel. Ivan replaces our current long serving Deputy Principal, Lance Davidson, as Lance takes on the role of Principal of Kerang Christian College in 2023.

NEW ROOF FOR THE SENIOR COURTS

I am very pleased to let you know that we have just signed a contract for a new roof to be built over the Senior School's courts. This will provide another large undercover sports area for our students. 

The new roof will have lighting for evening use. The roof will also extend beyond the courts towards the 'M' rooms to provide an undercover seating area as well adjacent to the courts. Once the new roof is erected, the court surface will be resurfaced as well with new line markings and new basketball backboards will be installed. 

This is a really exciting development for the school. You can get an idea of what the new roof will look like from the images below. The roof will be erected over the January holiday break, ready for the beginning of the 2023 school year.
