Junior School Division Table Tennis

On Friday 9th September, four girls and four boys from Junior School went to the Division Table Tennis competition. It was an enjoyable day and the girl's team managed to win overall. All the students showed great sportsmanship. At the end of the day to celebrate we all got ice cream. A big thank you Matthew and Hamish from Year 7 for umpiring on the day.

Year 7 SEPEP Soccer

Year 7 students have been enjoying a SEPEP Soccer unit. This unit has focused on soccer skills, student leadership, confidence and team work. Students have participated in coaching, facilitating warm-ups, umpiring, management, commentating and team uniform design. The unit culminated in a Finals Series which went to overtime and a penalty shoot out. Congratulations to the Hornets who, despite being bottom of the ladder, won the Grand Final.

State Badminton SSV

On Monday the 12th of September, the King’s College Year 7 Badminton team drove up to Melbourne to compete in the state Badminton competition. We stayed the night in Melbourne at an Airbnb and at 9:30am, we headed down to the Melbourne Sports Centre to warm up and compete.

We played against three schools from around the state, Nagle College, Narre-Warren South and Gilson College. We played the best we could but unfortunately did not make it to the semi-finals on the day. The team still finished 8th in the state and a special mention goes to Kaden and Tobi for winning two sets for the day. A big congratulations to Ben and Zach for also doing great in the competition.

Stay tuned for our Term 4 sports update featuring GWR athletics, Year 7 and 8 summer sports and state Table Tennis.
