School Events

West African Drumming 

I am very excited to have a local drumming teacher who has expertise in West African drumming techniques, come and share her experience and skills with the students in grades 4, 5 and 6. She will be working with the children in our usual music lessons on the last Friday of this term 16th September.

Students will be introduced to djembes, cajons and other hand drums some of which are kindly loaned from Braemar College. This will be a great experience to support our learning of drumming techniques on cajons – a box style drum – that we have explored this term.  

There is no cost for the students for this incursion.
