Mango Fundraiser

Get your summer started right with a fresh tray of Kensington Pride Mangoes and help support our School.

$5 from each tray of mangoes will be donated to the school to help fund supplies and equipment for our kids.

Each tray contains around 7kg of Mangoes (14 – 23 mangoes depending on size) – the perfect number to whip up a batch of mango sorbet. And you can order as many trays as you like.

Trays will be delivered from far North Queensland direct to Newham Primary School – on or about the first week in December.

To take part, orders must be received on or before Monday 10th October 2022. Use the order form provided via uEducateUs and make payment as per the information on the order form.

NPS Family Picnic Afternoon

Our NPS Family Picnic is going ahead 3pm this Sunday (straight after the working bee for those also planning to attend that).

Everyone is welcome so bring the whole family, a picnic rug and head on down to the Newham Mechanics Institute.

We have the wonderful Tino and Mia coming along with their food van to sell ice creams, coffee, cold drinks and they will also be manning the Pizza Oven for us.

For families that might be interested in buying Pizzas, Tino and Mia have asked to register your interest on the link below. This is to give them an idea of numbers (as a small business they don’t want to over-order supplies).

If you are planning on coming and think you’d like a pizza, please take 2 minutes to complete the link below.  All pizzas will be $15 and will be available from 5pm onwards (as an estimate).

You have the choice of Margherita, Pepperoni, Hawaiian

Working Bee – 11th September 2022

There are number of projects around the school that are perfect candidates for a working bee… so we’re going to have one and we need your help!

Jobs include tidying up and planting out of the entrance garden, refilling the sandpits, and transforming the potting house into a more inviting social and recreational area for our kids.

No skills are required, just a whole lot of enthusiasm.

As the saying goes, “many hands make light work”, so whether you are able to lend a hand for one or two hours, or the whole day, it will all help in improving the school grounds for the entire school community.

If you are able to help out please contact Pete Schreiber on 0451 049 034 to assist with coordinating the day.

Volunteers are required to read the Volunteer Induction Handbook prior to volunteering and sign an induction checklist.  If you have not read and signed an induction checklist for an event for 2022 please see the school office to sign prior to the 11th September.  The handbook can be found on the school website Volunteer Induction Handbook

Looking forward to seeing you there.
