Book Week -21 to 25 August

Term three is always exciting as we get ready for Book Week.  Amongst the activities students can participate in is the Book Week dress up day on Wednesday 23rd August.  This is a day to celebrate our enjoyment of the characters we read about in our books.

Costumes can be easy to source without taking up much time or energy.  For example; sports uniforms can make you a Netball Gem or a Selwood Boy, a tennis outfit and you can be Ash Barty or Dylan Alcott, a cape and you can be any superhero you choose, a grey wig and an eye mask and you are a Gangsta Granny, a dance costume and you are Edwina the Emu.  Simple is best!

Children’s Book Council of Australia announce the winning books on Friday 18th August 2023.  If you’d like to take a look at the books nominated click here https://cbca.org.au/shortlist-2023
