Year 3 & 4 Junior Hoop Time Basketball Inter School Competition

This term, our Year 3 and 4 students have the opportunity to participate in the Junior Hoop Time Basketball Inter School competition. Students have already been asked last term if they are interested in playing in this Inter school basketball competition and an Operoo permission form will be sent out shortly with details.

This year, our school was required to find our own date amongst the many Bulla Hoop Time competitions and found that the competitions available at Dandenong had already been booked out already. Therefore we had to be resourceful as a school and find a competition date and venue not too far away that had spots available. This would mean we would not be competing against schools from our Rowville District but other schools from different areas. The competition will still be the same format as it was in previous years of Hoop Time competition conducted at Dandenong Stadium:

Year 3 and 4 All Stars: 1 Girls Team and 1 Boys Team 

Students who are part of a rep or domestic basketball competition with a high level of basketball skill will be selected for these teams.

Year 3 and 4 Future Stars: 4 Mixed Boy & Girls Teams 

Students with intermediate skills who may or may not be part of domestic competition basketball will be selected for these team. 

Year 3 and 4 Rookies teams: 5 Mixed Boys & Girls Teams 

Students with an interest in the game and wish to be involved. These teams will have students with emerging skills.
