Year 3’s Excursion to the 

Orange Regional Museum, Gallery and Library

Year 3 had a fantastic time at the Orange Regional Museum, Gallery and Library. The weather was beautiful and we were able to experience hands-on activities, history and art. Year 3 visited the venues in class groups and were able to engage in the presentations and activities.

The museum exhibition on Ribbons, rides and ring events captured the fun and excitement of the Orange Agricultural Show in the past 150 years. Students were also able to see amazing artwork at the museum and participate in a group sculpture making activity. The library provided students with an opportunity to learn how libraries are organised and to see a variety of books we may be interested in. It was great to explore venues in the local community that we may not have visited before.
