Kids Corner

The Kids Corner section of this fortnight’s newsletter features short narratives as follows:

Trip to Mount Hotham – by Amasha Year 1.

It was one of the best days of my life. I jumped out of bed excitedly as soon as my mum woke me up. It was a Friday and I had a quick breakfast and got ready in my new clothes. It was very exciting.

My family and I packed our luggage the day before the trip so we got into the car at 6am. I would never have woken up that early if it was another day.

We met our family friends on the way. My dad was driving our car and we were all feeling very happy and looking forward to our trip!

The Chameleon by Yuvraj (Year 5)

The crimson eyes of the alert chameleon starred into the fiery orange dusk. His sapphire scales shining n the moon, as he perched on a branch.

His leafy green tail wrapped around the thin branch.

As the wind blew past him, the wolves howled. The scared reptile retreated into the safe confronting leaves of the tree.
