Technology Changes Over the Holidays

Over the holidays a number of changes have been made to try to make your Technological experiences easier.

Single Sign On features have been applied to the “Permissions and Reports” tile and the “College Coin” in MyMtA. These links should now take you directly to these services without having to log in. 

We have also updated the absentee SMS to allow you to simply respond with a single letter to inform the College of the reason for the absence. For example, you will receive the following SMS: 

Jane has had an unexplained absence today.

Please reply by SMS with the letter of the absence reason:

I - Illness/sick

A - Appointment

F - Family

Mount Alvernia College

You can reply with the single letter indicated and it will record the reason in the system for you.

Shortly there will be an App update to cater for some background tasks (there will be no functional changes). You should be prompted that an update is available or it may automatically update if you have this feature turned on your phone.
