Parent Forum
Thank you to those who attended our Parent and Carer community forum, it was a thought provoking evening.
We look forward to working with all parents and carers to acknowledge and recognise that the world has changed, and education needs to move with it. This VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) world requires our students to provide evidence of more than just a mark or grade to demonstrate how they contribute to a team, a project, or a cause, and most importantly find their purpose.
Our inquiry phase continues, with our current focus as a staff on how we can best use time. We will keep you informed as we learn and discern more regarding how to best use our time at Chev. There will also be opportunities to attend further parent forums over the coming months.
Open Day
We were delighted to have 149 families, equating to over 500 visitors on campus last Saturday for our Open Day. That's a lot of sausage sandwiches!
The stars of the day are undoubtedly our wonderful students who through their enthusiasm and knowledge are the best advocates for Chev. Over 180 students volunteered their time to run tours of Chev and be present to answer questions in each key learning area.
We also highlighted our extra-curricular program with performances from our CAPALoT students, a cattle show for our Show Team, while 1sts Rugby, 1sts Boys Football and 1sts Girls Football all had pre-season matches on campus and our Mountain Bike Team officially opened our new MTB track.
A huge thank you to our staff who volunteered on the day bringing all our Key Learning Areas (KLA's) to life.
