International Women's Day

Kempsey High School celebrated International Women’s day on Wednesday 8th March 2023. CLONTARF put on a pancake breakfast for female staff at KHS and there was an activity at Kempsey showground for students.  

The UN Women Australia’s International Women’s Day theme for 2023 is ‘Cracking the Code: Innovation for a gender equal future’. Based on this theme Kempsey High and Melville High wanted to come together to celebrate women as well as compete in STEM challenges against each other. The event at the showground included guest speakers, STEM challenges, delicious food and fun activities. It was great to be able to spend time with school staff, NASCA staff and students from Melville High too. 

It was exciting to be able to celebrate with students, families and community services after being unable to for the past few years. We appreciate those that helped to organise this event and are grateful for those that were able to attend. It was a great day and we hope to have more in the future.
