SWPBS

A key feature of School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) is the ability to monitor and track behaviours, both desirable and non-desirable. At Great Ryrie, our Wellbeing Team view and assess data, making suggestions to staff and sometimes tweaking systems to make improvements in our day to day operations and support our students. The data from Term 1 of this year has shown us that an area from our matrix for us to focus on going forward is …

Beginning in Term 2, staff will be reminding and encouraging students that this is a focus. Also during this term, we are introducing a class acknowledgement system. Each class will develop a plan to keep track of the values cards being earned. When a class reaches 250 values cards, they will receive a bronze medal for display, 500 values cards earns a silver medal and 1000, a gold medal.

These amazing efforts will be acknowledged at assembly and in our newsletter. At home, you can support our efforts by checking in with your children to see how their class are progressing.
