Production News

Things are certainly hotting up in the Production department! The theatre is booked, rehearsals are underway and it is a frenzy of activity in the backstage department.
DESIGN COMPETITION
Congratulations to Ryan Tseng!
Ryan's amazing design of a 'time machine' was selected as the winning design, from 100s of entries. Ryan will now work with Mrs Bosomworth, our amazing Visual Arts teacher, to prepare his design for use in all of our Production publications. His design will also be printed onto t-shirts and sold as one of our major production fundraisers, later in the year.
Congratulations Ryan! You are quite the budding graphic designer!

***PARENT HELPERS NEEDED***
To stage an event of this size, we need LOTS of helpers. If you are able to help in any shape or form, we would love to hear from you.
Areas that still require helpers are:
Costume (not necessarily making costumes - but organising, counting, labelling, dressing)
Props (painting, gluing, making)
Backstage - supervision, dressing
Side of stage - moving on and off props
Canteen and Bar
Traffic control
Make-Up and Hair
Photography
If you would like more information, please pop in and see Peta Murray on Education Open night Wednesday 17th May 4-6pm, in the foyer of the main building
RSA - Responsible Service of Alcohol
Do you hold a current RSA? If so, we need you! We hope to run a canteen and bar on the performance nights of the Production. We need volunteers who hold a current RSA to oversee and assist with this. If you meet these requirements and can assist on one or more of the performance nights (9th, 10th, 16th and 17th August), please contact Peta.Murray@education.vic.gov.au to register your interest.
Working with Children Check
All volunteers, who assist onsite at school, or at the theatre, are required to hold a current Working With Children Check. The Working with Children Check is a screening process for assessing or re-assessing people who work with or care for children in Victoria.
It is a very simple process to apply for a Working With Children Check and it is FREE for volunteers.
Please go to https://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/ to apply
