Mothers’ Day

‘Parenting is so challenging. It is really hard work and it doesn’t come with a manual. Talking to other parents about our experiences and finding out that “it’s not just me” is great. Being open to new ways to parent is the way to go. It’s got to be a gradual process and I think people are really scared of being made to feel bad.’

[Trace Bartram, Comedian, Mother. Patron of the Australian Childhood Foundation.]

Everyone has different experiences with either their own Mum or being a Mum. Life is full and always changes. We take the good and the bad because … we have no choice most of the time. It’s part of life to experience highs and lows, victories and disasters.

Whatever your ‘Mother’ experiences have been so far in your life, may you enjoy this Mothers’ Day - Sunday 14 May. If you have the opportunity, share your thanks with someone special. If you are a Mum, may you receive special treats from your loved ones.

Whoever cares for you … whoever cared for you when you were young … encourage them with your love this Mothers’ Day!

You may recognise your child’s drink bottle in the above picture. These are in the SPC.

Feel free to collect it from the SPC foyer. Otherwise we will throw them out.

Also, we have received a generous donation of baby clothes, sizes 000 to 1. If you would like to receive any of these, please come to the next Toast Tuesday from 8am onwards, or contact me at school to arrange a time.

FRIDAY FUN: Today’s is: ‘ Ever heard of a job that requires no experience, gives no training, pays nothing, and you can’t quit? That’s motherhood. Oh, and people’s lives are on the line.’ – Thanks Mums!

Contact: If you need to contact me, you can email, phone, or see me on my days at school.
