Wendy “the crossing lady” is Retiring
After helping our students safely cross the road since 2004, Wendy the crossing lady (on Warrenheip St) is retiring her lollipop sign!
Wendy is no doubt a familiar face to many of you along with an entire generation of kids who have been through Buninyong PS. She no doubt would have many stories to share about her time down at the crossing, particularly about the kids, local drivers and weather!
In order to recognise Wendy’s contribution to our school community, we have invited Wendy along to our whole school assembly on the last day of term to say thank you and make a small presentation. Students who regularly use the crossing may like to also say thanks to her when they use the crossing over the last few days of school.
