Prep

Prep students have been busy putting their woodworking skills to use by designing and creating trinkets for some special people. They have been learning how to use the nibblers safely and accurately to cut and detail their wooden creations. Through this process, our students have been developing their creativity, fine motor skills, and attention to detail. I'm impressed with the enthusiasm and dedication our Prep students have shown in this project, and we can't wait to see the final products that they have created.

Grade 1/2

Grade 1/2 students have been developing their design skills, exploring how different people see and value the world. Through their projects, students have been learning how to observe, analyze, and communicate their ideas in creative ways. These skills will help them to become more confident and capable designers, problem-solvers, and innovators.

Grade 3/4

Grade 3/4 students have begun to explore the world of programming and coding with Scratch. This term, they will learn the basics of coding by creating their own games and interactive artworks.

Scratch is a user-friendly platform that is designed to introduce children to coding concepts in a fun and engaging way. I'm excited to see what kind of games and artworks they will create, and I look forward to sharing these with families as the projects are completed.

Grade 5/6

5/6 students have been expanding their technology skills with TinkerCAD and Scratch. These tools will be used throughout the term to design, create, and improve a wide variety of digital and physical creations. I'm excited to see the creative ideas and designs they will come up with, and I look forward to supporting them as they continue to develop their technical skills and innovative thinking.
