Principal's News

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Thank you to all of the parents who helped out at the Wee Waa Show last weekend. It was a fantastic event that was well supported by our wider community. It was amazing to walk through the Showgrounds and see all of our students craft creations, baked goods, and school work on display.

This week I have the privilege of writing this newsletter at the Australian Catholic School Principals' Conference. It has been an engaging experience working closely with presenters of high international distinction. It was also fantastic to meet Mr Baird, Mrs Anna Baird’s son, who is a principal in Parkes.

Next week is Catholic Schools Week. It is an opportunity to celebrate being part of a wider collection of catholic schools. There are a number of celebrations happening across the week, with a series of Masses being celebrated by the Bishop in the Armidale Diocese. Some of our student leaders, their parents, and Mrs Hatton and I will be attending Mass in Moree next Tuesday.

As part of Catholic Schools Week we will also be holding our 2020 Parent Information Night and Open Morning. Please help us by sharing these dates with your family, friends and neighbours. We have more information on our Facebook page regarding these events, which can be found here.

We are all very passionate about the learning that goes on in our school and we are proud to invite our next cohort of Kindergarten children. That is why it is essential that we share our message far and wide. We have a wonderful school, great learning programs, well resourced classrooms and passionate staff, resulting in a fantastic recipe for success.

Over the next few weeks we will be finalising a number of small upgrades to our school; our toilet block will be finished, we will have new heating and cooling installed and we will begin to have consultation with our school community on how to best use and develop the extra grounds (Clay Tennis Courts) that the school has acquired.

This will be an exciting time in our school’s history.

God Bless,

Alistair Stewart
