The October school council meeting was held on Tuesday the 15th October in the school staffroom at 5:30 pm. Business on the agenda was reasonably standard, and due to the recent school holidays, finance for September will be addressed at the next meeting in November.

Issues addressed included:

  • Progress against the 2019 Annual Implementation Plan.
  • Student leadership progress and transition, as year 12 students approach exams.
  • Camp and excursion approvals for the next month.
  • Several policies being updated as part of the policy cycle.
  • Introduction of the new State Government ‘mobile phone in schools’ policy for 2019.
  • School council and sub-committee dates for 2020.

It was acknowledged that this school year is progressing very quickly, and strategic planning for the 2020 school year is now well under way.
