Grade 5/6 Afternoon with Leongatha P.S.

Last Wednesday afternoon saw the L’gatha P.S. grade 6 students visit our school for sporting and socializing activities with our grade 5/6’s. In part the afternoon compensated for the loss of our round robin winter sport in term 2, but it also provided an opportunity for the grade 6’s to meet in a transition process for their secondary education.

Most students engaged in combined trivia and gymnastic activities where students worked together. We also had a boys’ netball and girls’ football match.

Football     St. Laurence’s  3 - 11  - 29 pts  to   LPS  5 - 5vv– 35pts

Netball       St. Laurence’s  9  to LPS 15

A big thank you to Leongatha Gym Club for providing teachers for the afternoon and also to those parents who came along to watch.
