2020 Twilight Sports

When: Thursday March 12th

Where: Mount Pleasant Road Primary School oval

4.30-5.15pm- K-2 events

5-6pm- Family BBQ

5.30pm- House Chants Competition

6-8pm- Senior events

 

Children are asked to wear their team colours for the event. They will sit with the team by the track and help cheer their teammates down the straight. Staff will be present and fully supervising students

Families and friends are asked to sit around the oval and support their children from this area. 

 

The aim of our Twilight Sports is to celebrate our sporting capabilities in a fun-filled environment. We encourage all students to participate in their events as every time you compete, you gain points for your team. Come along for a wonderful evening celebrating sport at MPRPS!

Visual Art News

In years F - 6 we are completing a range of art projects based on the topic of tea. Foundation and  year 1/2 students are creating two dimensional tea mugs. The 3/4 students have created miniature dinner sets using paper clay and year 5/6 students are designing a three dimensional prototype mug.

Physical Education:

Junior: Tanmay S (1/2W)

For demonstrating zest and teamwork during our Hot Shots tennis unit. Excellent work Tanmay!

Senior:  Samanvi K (3/4K)

For demonstrating great skill and poise during our Hot Shots Tennis unit. Looking forward to seeing you use this skill in our upcoming 3/4 Summer sports day Samanvi!

 

Indonesian:

Junior: Sahil J (FD)

For showing a love of learning and zest in Indonesian classes. You participate in all activities with enthusiasm, and always give it your best when trying new words and completing work. Bagus sekali!

Senior: Shaun E (3/4K)

For going above and beyond when writing sentences for your portfolio. You wrote an incredible amount of sentences in a short period of time! Hebat!

 

Performing Arts:

Junior: Marley N (FD)

For demonstrating confidence when performing actions to song in front of the class.  Marley followed the instructions matching each action to the lyrics of the song 'Hello'. Well done!

Senior: Juliet O (5/6S) 

For demonstrating outstanding singing skills when rehearsing with the Senior Choir.  Juliet showed commitment and focus when singing with the group. Well done!

 

Visual Arts:

Junior: Hayden K (FG)

For demonstrating mindfulness, care and appreciation of beauty in your bee meadow painting. It was such a pleasure to see you be so focused and creative. Great listening skills as well. Keep it up Hayden - you are doing very well in Art.

Senior:  Jarvis G (3/4D)

Jarvis, you were focused, productive and a terrific role model in Art. I particularly commend you on sharing your discovery of mixing red and green to create miniature chocolate sweets on your miniature dinner set using paper clay.
