Team Leader’s Message

Over the past couple of weeks I have some lovely day-trips, out on excursion with both the Year 11 and Year 12 classes.  The Year 11 classes travelled to the city to undertake an Industry Hunt, identifying various industries that can be found in the city and asking workers about their roles and taking photos of the workplace.  Students worked in two teams to earn ‘money’ towards their Earn and Learn program.

Last Friday I went out with the Year 12 students to the Dingo Discovery Centre, run by the Australian Dingo Foundation to protect the dingoes as they are now considered a ‘threatened’ species.  This charity cares for and breeds dingoes to ensure their bloodline is protected.  Following an informative talk about dingoes we were able to meet their newest additions – two litters of puppies!
