Carlsruhe Annexe

News..

This week at Carlsruhe, the students were given the opportunity to explore an animal that interested them. They researched their chosen animal using the internet/books and then produced an information report that followed the structure we have been studying in class.

In maths, students have begun a unit of work on angles and have enjoyed learning the names of certain angles and finding them in nature.

As part of the Carlsruhe jobs program, students have been busily preparing the garden ready for planting in Term 4. It has been great to see a number of students enjoying their time in the garden,  some even forming their own ‘Gardening Club’. Mr Hemiak has also kindly donated and installed a new watering system in the garden which is going to come in handy when the weather warms up. The students (and teachers) cannot wait to see what delicious foods we can cook using the herbs and vegetables we will grow in the coming months.

A big thank you to all the families that have volunteered to take guinea pigs or look after the chickens during the holidays. Today you will receive an e-mail outlining the holiday routine as well as the contact details of the family you will be swapping with.
