Naplan
By now all NAPLAN results have been sent home to parents. If you have any concerns please make an appointment with your child’s teacher for further discussion.
Overall, school results were very pleasing and once we have looked at them and analysed them at a whole staff level, we will then make them public in the newsletter.
Year 3 camp
Currently our Year 3 students are enjoying a range of adventure activities on their three day camp to Log Cabin at Creswick. I look forward to heading over there to spend the night and participate in “some” of the activities. See some pictures on the Middle Unit - Year 3 page.
Term 3 Appreciations
On reflecting on this term since my return, I have been so delighted in the ongoing progress of our school. This was reflected in the results of Parent Opinion Survey with results continuing on a pleasing upward trend. I will publish the results at the start of next term but would like to acknowledge my appreciation for the time people took to offer constructive feedback that will help implement strategies for continued improvement.
Over the period of this term we have provided many great opportunities for our students above and beyond the normal every day curriculum, including sporting events, incursions, excursions, camps, community engagement and fun days such as the Travel Expo, Fathers’ Day and Footy Day.
Of course none of this would be possible without all of the organisation that goes on before, during and after the events. Thank you to all who have assisted in any way: Parents and Friends, Jen and our canteen helpers, all of our staff, a committed group of regular parent helpers and School Council.
Footy Day
Yesterday we had our annual Footy Colours Day and Footy Lunch. Thanks to our Junior School Council for organising the event and to the many people who participated and wore soccer, rugby and football tops. It was a fun day.
Thanks to Jen and her team of helpers in the canteen for rolling out a huge number of lunches.
It is an exciting time with the impending finals but can of course lead to celebrations and frustrations, particularly if you live with a football fanatic like some of us do. Best of luck to all teams involved in the finals.
Family Maths Night
Just a reminder to register for our Family Maths Night on October 30th. We are excited about the number of people that have already registered.
