Praying Together

At St Josephs we aim to foster an environment where the Catholic Faith is celebrated, communicated and lived in a spirit of respect for the dignity of each person.

As part of our remote learning we recognise the importance of still coming together in prayer and meditation to celebrated our shared faith.

This week the focus for our prayers on the St. Joseph's Remote Learning website is ‘How Do We Belong?”

This is an interesting question particularly at the moment when we are all isolating away from the normal groups we belong to.

The sense of belonging we aim to build here at school allows individuals to feel important and connected with their teachers, peers, the school community and parish community.

Being a part of this big community provides the children with a combined strength to help them develop and grow.

At school we encourage the children to develop their own strengths but also reach out and see the strengths of their classmates.  Every child has something that they can contribute to making the class a better place.

As a society, we have been encouraged to connect with each other in as many ways as we possibly can.  This connection is a positive mental health thing to do for all of us.  There is a saying, Alone we are strong, Together we are stronger.  This Positive Psychological Mindset will help people in these very difficult times.

A little self care for Mother’s Day

This is a little reflection for our mums.  Some great food for thought….

At CatholicCare they provide support to people at every stage of life to equip them with the skills they need to build strong, positive relationships.

They know that sometimes society gives up on people, and sometimes people give up on themselves - but they never give up on their clients.
