Education Support Staff

Meet the Education Support Staff

Mandy

I started at SMPS in April 2019 as a Multicultural Educational Aide (MEA) working on Level 4 with the Grade 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6’s. I have worked in Education for the last 20 years, the last 12 years doing Literacy Support. My focus has been in the primary years over the many schools I have worked at. My husband and I love going out to dinner with friends, seeing movies and going on holidays. We have 2 grown up children. One daughter is living in Japan and the other one has just returned from working in England for 2 years. Please feel free to come and say hello to me anytime at school. I am looking forward to an exciting and fun 2020.

Jennarita

Hi there! My name is Jennarita and I am a Multicultural Education Aide at SMPS. I am passionate about supporting students with their education, as well as making sure students feel happy and safe at school. Outside of school time, I enjoy going to new places to eat around the city and hanging out at the beach when the weather is warm. I also love playing the piano and violin and attending ballets and orchestral performances. I look forward to the 2020 school year!

Mona

My name is Mona and I am so lucky that I joined SMPS since last year! I have worked in the education support field for more than 12 years both in Melbourne and in the UK. I love to help our students and use my creativity to make learning fun, unique and interactive! In my free time, I like to hang around at Australia’s lovely beaches, paint, play soccer and listen to music. I am so excited to meet all the students next year and become part of the school community.

Kate

My name is Kate Holden and I have the privilege of working as an Integration Aide. I am originally from New Zealand but have been enjoying calling Melbourne my home for three years now. During that time, I have adopted a cheeky cat called Beaudy, named after one of my favourite rugby players. My highlight of 2019 was choreographing for the production. I will have ‘We are the Robots’ stuck in my head as we enter 2020 but I look forward to celebrating another fantastic year with S.M.P.S.
