                             Confirmation

Wednesday 22nd May will see the Sacrament of Confirmation celebrated in our Parish. The students having been actively engaged with their learning about the Sacrament. They have investigated the life of their chosen saint, learnt about the symbolism of the Sacrament and discussed how they live out the Fruits and Gifts of the Spirit. We are exceptionally proud of our candidates and wish them all the very best.

Reverend Father Brendan Hayes will confirm our candidates on Wednesday 22nd May at 7.00 pm. Our extended St. John Vianney community is most welcome to attend.

Confirmation Reflection Day

Last Wednesday our candidates attended the Confirmation Reflection Day at Don Bosco Retreat Centre. It is a lovely reflective space in the abundant, rolling hills of Lysterfield.The students had a great time at the retreat.

‘I loved the beautiful setting.’

‘We had a chance to meet the candidates from other schools.’

‘It was great to do some learning in a different place.’

‘I liked discussing the different signs and symbols.’

‘The Pentecost quiz gave us the chance to use our scripture research skills.’

We thank the Don Bosco Retreat Centre for hosting us.

Prayer for our Confirmation Candidates

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love.

Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created and You shall renew the face of the earth.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations,

Through Christ Our Lord.
