2016 Musical News

It has come to that time of year again to start the process of preparing for a Mater Dei Catholic College Musical. 

After launching the name of the musical late last term -Popstars the 90s Musical! - we have had huge interest from the stu8dent body with over 100 students already expressing their desire to be involved. The wheels are definitely in motion to be ready for our May 2016 performances at the Wagga Civic Theatre. We are lucky to have our very talented Mater Dei Staff overseeing this musical, such as Ms Genelle Keough as Assistant Producer, Ms Mel Cramp as Director, Miss Bianca Fonte as Assistant Director, Mr David Saxon as Musical Director and Miss Lauren Verdon as Stage Manager. We are lucky to have these staff members in these roles and I thank them for their commitment to the process and for the time that goes into preparing a musical.

Auditions for current Mater Dei Students are occurring next Wednesday 21st October Week 3. These auditions will occur during the school day. Students will be informed of their audition time very soon and instructions have been sent to them already.

Year 7 2016 students wishing to audition will receive instructions on the audition process by the end of this week. All Year 7 2016 parents will receive an email explaining this process. These auditions will occur after school on Tuesday 27th October Week 4.
