A big congratulations to Zoe Long and Robert Steele who were the individual winners in their age group, and of course, Forsyth (Blue) House for winning the event. On the 15th of February the college held our swimming trials at the new Traralgon Aquatic Centre, congratulations to Andy Tyrell for being the individual age group winner. It is certainly great to see so many Year 10 students participating in sporting events and doing so well.
Work Experience – Students are currently busy arranging work experience which will take place in Term 2 from Monday 16th to Friday 27th May.
Immunisation – Just a reminder that Year 10 students will receive their Meningococcal immunisation next Thursday 17th March. Please ensure consent forms are approved through Compass, or alternatively you can contact the General Office if you require a hardcopy.
Tassie Trip – Information and consent forms for our Year 10 trip to Tasmania will be out within the next couple of weeks. Please be aware that spots are limited and will be done on a first in best dressed basis. The camp/trip is always a highlight for the students and staff and is a great way to create positive memories the high school years. Please keep an eye out for this information.
Expectations and Attendance – With such a busy program and students representing the school in local workplaces across our region, Kurnai College has high expectations of all students’ behaviour in ways which reflect our values. The Year 10 team will continually communicate to the students on the expectations of attendance, behaviours and wearing correct uniform. We appreciate your support on these matters and respectfully remind you of notifying the school if your child is absent and signing out your child from the front office if you collect your child early from school.
