April is the month for Autism!
World Autism Understanding Day is on April 2nd. Throughout the month of April, we focus on sharing stories and providing opportunities to increase understanding and acceptance of people with Autism. As a school, we are committed to creating a community where all staff and students can reach their full potential and are accepted for their individual strengths and supported with their diverse needs.
FUN FACT - 1 in 70 people living in Australia are on the autism spectrum!
Cooking with Miss Becc
Every Wednesday, students from year 3 and 4 have the opportunity to make something scrumptious with Miss Becc in the Kitchenette. So far, the menu has been diverse with zucchini fritters, pancakes and pita pizzas on the menu. Each week, a different group of students will join Miss Becc so that by the end of the year , everyone will have had a chance to cook! Next week's group will be making a big batch of banana muffins that every student in year 3/4 will be able to enjoy for afternoon tea!
